PROFILE

 

Proprietor Patricia A Ruane Podiatrist and Registered Nurse (NY) was born in Monivea, Athenry, County Galway, Ireland. Patricia attended La Guardia College in New York City where she received her Nursing Degree. She excelled as a student and received numerous Awards at the College including: Placement on the Dean's List each year, placement on the National Dean's List of America and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honour Society. Patricia went on to work as a Charge Nurse in Lenox Hill Hospital New York City which is ranked as one of the top hospitals in the United States. She also worked for Wagner Home Care Nursing Agency in New York City and worked for the Actor Robert De Niro caring for his father, among other celebrities. Patricia continued her nursing education at Hunter University New York City and completed two years of the Nurse Practitioner Program where she again was a high Honours student. Patricia returned to Ireland due to a family tragedy and was accepted into the Podiatry (Podiatric Medicine) Program at NUIG in 2010. Patricia received numerous Awards at NUIG for Outstanding Academic Acheivement including: Scholarship Awards for Years 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and was First Prize Winner of the Prestigious Dr. H.H. Stewart Medical Scholarship Award in Podiatry (Podiatric Medicine) 2012 in Ireland. Patricia attended a ceremony at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham Dublin where she was presented with a medal and 1,000.00 Euro from Chancellor of the National University of Ireland Dr. Maurice Manning. Patricia graduated from NUIG in June 2014 with a Four Year Higher Honours Bachelors Degree in Podiatry (Podiatric Medicine).
